Default Tire Width Question

Ok. so I purchased a new set of wheels and the recommended tire width is 205 but I want to use 215's.

Would I run into problems down the road.

What is the pros and cons.

95 Accord Sedan EX

Thanks

I got similar question as well....I got new rims with 215/50/17's on them...I want to get 225/45/17's and wondering if the with will be an issue...I also got my shocks and springs so once I got the tires I'd be getting them all installed. Any pointers if it'll be ok to put 225's instead of the original 215?

I have some 225/40/17s on 17x7 wheels, standard FWD offset, and they fit fine. The car has its stock suspension, but will be lowered soon. No rubbing with three people in the car so far.

BTW: thisis on a '95 Accord EX coupe.

Depending on the aspect ratio, the 215 might be a good 1-2 inches taller and they might bulge/balloon if the rim is too narrow (ie. a 5"-6" wheel).

What rim size? 17s? 18s? Or you going with 16s?

A lot of larger tire/wheel combos will fit if the car isn't dropped.

you are allowed to go 10 millimeters in either direction. If you have a wheel that calls for 215's you can still use 205 or 225.
