Hye guys I had a problem with my sol and thought maybe you could help me out. i will give you as much info as posible and if you could tell me what you think i would do, I would apreciare it.
couple of days ago i was driving to work, I started my car and warmed it up before i left, I made it about a mile and stoped at a light.
The car idoled fine and didnt give me any cause for alarm. When the light went green I accelerated into the street made it about 15 feet then the engine just stright up died. I was rolling so i pushed in the clutch and tried to start it again but it would just crank. I got out of the street and into a parking lot and checked all my wires, everything looks good.
when i turn the key I can hear the fuel pump prime, but when I try and start it, it just crankes. I pulled out the ignitor and replaced it with a new one and verified it got spark. To get to the Distributor i pulled out the intake.
When i am cranking it i can smeall gas so it should be geting some.
What would you sujest I check next? any ideas?
Thanks

i mean if one of the injectors is shot, the car can still fires up but will run very rough, and in your situation, the car wont even fries up. i meant to say check the fuel line to fuel rail. and also check all the fuese and main relay and starter. make sure all the ground wires are good.

checking relay now, and I have verified all fuses.
what is the best way to test a fuel rail, crack the banjo bolt and see if it leaks?

found the main relay, was looking under the hood not in the car.
I swaped it out with the one from my civic (same part numbers) and it still did the same thing.

my guess would be 15000 miles maybe.</TD></TR></TABLE>
people say a lot of things, just check to make sure its still intact before you rip the car apart looking for other things

just replaced the fuel presure regulator with the stock one. when i loosened the bolts it leake4d fuel so i think we have fuel to the rail.
Since you already did all that I would just check for compression and timing.
I bet you jumped a tooth or the belt broke
I hoping it not the later.

i agree distributor or timing belt, the way i checked my injectors is the ghetto way.. take out the rail with the injectors and point the rail out fo the engine bay and do it outside, get somone to crank it over a couple times your injectors should spray
50/50 coudl go either way dizzy or timing belt
easy way to find out
pull off timing belt top cover
see if belt is tight, and not shreaded or anything
if its cool, turn to tdc and make sure thye all line up and didnt jump
if it did not jump then dizzy
good luck
