Default crx b18

alright, i have finally gotten the money to purchase a crx, but before I buy one I want to know for sure what I am getting into. I have been gradually learning little things about how to work on cars, and I have a pretty good mechanical knowledge...i learn fast. I have decided to go with a crx shell, or a crx with high milage ready for a swap. The swap that I am looking to do is a b18, but I am not completely sure of the differences in the various b18 engines. Also, since I have never done an engine swap I was wondering if anyone can either write me out a list of things that I will need for the swap and some directions on how to do it...or point me in the direction of a site that already has this information. I don't want to start a big argument on which engine is best because I have noticed that everyone has their own opinions on this matter. I would much rather just get the info on the b18 series motors and stay completely away from anything on other engines.

I have not yet purchased the car or the engine as I would like to get all of the information that I can beforehand so that I can make an informed decision on what to do with this project. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

to start. if the car is dx model. you will need to do a multi point conversion. to go from two injectors to four. si or hf models already multi point. also have to find a set of 88-91 b series mounts. there are differnt brands and companys to choose from on mounts. hasport is one of the most popular. hasprort (hasport.com) as well has the conversion harness to convert to multi point injection. or you can find a do it yourself guide on google and save cash on the wiring if your good with wiring. if you do it yourself. you will need to find a fuel resistor box. and four injector wires of off a spare harness. and of course a multi point ecu. i did my own. with the b series. you will need shifter rods. wich hasport also has, or you can take stock ls rods to muffler shop or somewhere that welds and have them cut 2 3/8 of each rod. front mount will need to be cut of the front cross member. around the alternator area you will need to either beat it in or cut a whole for the alternator pulley to fit. or it will grind against the frame. other than that all you need is any b series engine. and your ready. and you might have a problem with raditor hoses. unless you get integra radiator with hoses. the d series will work. just hard to get opened up to the size of the be series on the engine.
