ok so i'm prob going to buy another rex since i wsnt happy with the da i got well the guy told me the rex has a jdm b16 with type r cams intake manifold and pistons he said is ported and polish too but no way on knowing if it is i guess but how can you tell if it has the type r intake manifold and cams??

 

I guess for cams and pistons there is no way to tell unless you remove them. You can see if the intake manifold is the type R one.... Search for it.

Also, check the compression too.
