Default clutch problem, can't get into gear

ok, so i just installed an exedy stage 1 racing clutch in my 00 si. the problem is that now it won't release all the way. i push the peddle to the floor and it won't go into gear. i can sometimes get it to go into 2nd, but the trans clunks when i do that and the car starts to move forward. so it seems to me that the clutch is dragging. i thought maybe the slave was bad so i replaced that, and it's no better, and worse if anything. at one point while changing the slave, the reservoir drained all the way, so is it possible that the master cyl has a bubble in it now? the fluid was really black, it probably isn't supposed to be right? what could cause that? is it possible that the extra force required for the stage 1 clutch is causing a problem? anyone had that sort of problem before?

thanks in advance for any help.

i dunno, please share. i tried it solo first, just cracked the bleeder and let it drip slowly. then a friend came over and we did it a few times just like you would bleed brakes.

well yeah if u have a friend that can help u thats tight too, makes it a lil easier.. but yeah theres a lil trick with only one person where u get like a bottle of brake fluid, a small fishtank hose or clear hose that will fit onto the bleeder on the slave cyl, an a container or something that u fill with brake fluid about 3/4... u put the hose on the slave cyl an the other end into that container full of fluid, than you crack open the bleeder an just pump the clutch until there is no air bubbles coming out into the container, but make sure to keep filling up ur resevoir.... theres a writeup with pics somewhere shouldnt be hard to find but thats how u do it, pretty easy...

well, i bled it forever, like 40 times, and still no love. it will go into gear, but it really doesn't want to. so i got under the dash and looked at the master and it was kinda spooging a little, and there was a stain on the floor under it like it had been leaking a bit. so i am gonna replace that and see how it goes. kinda makes sense, so hopefully it does the trick.
