Check the ground from the trans to the chassis. Lots of people forget this. I know I did more than a few times. If you try to start the car and the cooling fan turns on instead of the car....you didn't plug in the trans ground. Or if it just clicks, you probably didn't bolt up the trans ground.
Your battery may also have been on it's way out.
You can try jumping it....if it's the transmission ground, it should start from a jump, but it will act really weird afterwards. Gauges will go crazy, lights will dim randomly, etc.
Check the transmission ground condition and tightness first.
Then move on. Also, check the ground on the T-stat housing. I removed it when removing my trans so I could have easier access to taking off the lower radiator hose.

there are two wires to the starter. one with the bold. and one has a clip. its from the key. if you cant see the connector on the starter take it off and look at it.
it might be the trans ground??? because when i did try to start it....sparks flew from that trans. ground???? could it just be a bad connection???? i mean when i really tried to first start it, it turned over for like 2 sec and then died. but now it just won't turn over at all???
