What are the advantages to this and the disadvantages?

 

converting to OBDI in what sense? just ecu? ecu and distributor?

have you bothered to read the faq?

 

getting the adaptor and switching the ecu at the same time.

 

advantages:
better tuning options (only if you are smart enough to get tuned by a TUNER)

disadvantages:
possibly worse gas mileage if you dont tune
possibly blow engine
possibly a lot of things

word of advice - do not go OBDI unless you plan on getting tuned. buying a chipped ecu is a complete waste of money and can be dangerous pending where you got the ecu from.

 

can a p13 or 14 be chipped and tuned instead of hondata(cuz it aint cool enough to work with p13-14)

they can be chiipped, but you cannot do any tuning.
