Default a engine/injector cleaner question (seafoam stuff)

O k I heard that all the guys use seafoam and they like it to clean the injectors and the valve gunk. But how do you use it through the brake vacuum line? Not just poor it in......right? Do you use a straw and pinch it and controll the flow.......right? So half the bottle you use in the vacuum line and half in the gas tank............right? btw I did research and those are the questions that the one dude does not answer.

Default Re: a engine/injector cleaner question (rotascircuit)

i have done a seafoam cleaning before. on my 99 ls. what i did i use a iv bag with valve control and hooked it up to one of the main vacuum lines that leads into the intake manifold. the trick was open up the valve a little and while running, the vacuum line would suck the liquid down.
i know that finding a iv bag might be a little difficult but just go to google and search for it. they are not that expensive either.
but it work really well....

what i always do is do seafoam right before an oil change and use a spare set of spark plugs for seafoaming only; seafoam ruins spark plugs
then take off brake booster line and use that line to suck up the seafoam with the can straight up...i do it very slowly with a gap of 10 seconds or so with every suction of liquid...if you do it too fast the engine will stall and it will be difficult to start but no worries...
then drive the car in a very diverse variance of rpms to get all the seafoam out
