Default Clutch stoping the motor from turning over?

I just swaped in my 94 civic hatch a ls/vtec with b16 tranny... b4 i had the tranny bolted up to the motor i could turn the crank just fine! Once the the tranny and motor were installed in the car.

i went to put everything to top dead center. well i try to turn the crank and it just stops! there is a knock sound when the crank stops!

Im almost more than sure the loud knock comes from the tranny! the tranny is from Hmotors, but i think when i am turning over the motor the clutch is caught by the transmission casing! is this possible? Btw im running a ACT stage 4 clutch if that helps

Are you able to shift gears and make sure that your trannie is in neutral?
