I've tried a set of eBay HID from the seller hidgate and I haven't had any issues with them. They also have a one year warranty on the ballast and wiring. They go for $71.98 shipped USPS 2-3 day. For the money, can't beat it. I had one set for over 2 years and it's still bright and no issues.

I haven't any issues with the kits I've purchased. All my kits are 8000K, but it does loose brightness over the 4300K or 6000K. If you want a brighter light output, I'd go with either 4300 or 6000K but no more. I chose the 8000K for the slight bluish tint, however the brightness is there as well. So it's your choice on what Kelvin you should go with. FYI, 4300K and 6000K are OEM Kelvin on BMW, Audi and other who have factory HIDs.

If you can change your own headlights you can install the HID's. Only thing you will need to do is find a good location for the ballasts, either in the engine bay or behind the bumper. Just becareful if you plan on installing the ballast behind the bumper: avoid installing close to anything that is yellow or orange. One is for the airbag sensor and the other is power for the airbag sensor.

4300 will be white and not a hint of blue. as for the other kits, they are name brand and has their name on the ballast. If you find kits with the ESO9001 certification then you should be fine. Like i said, I can't guarantee any of the kits since I'm not selling those to you. I'm just giving you my experience with the eBay kits. Good Luck and hope this helps.

If the housing was not designed to put HID in it... do everyone who is in front of you at night a favor, and don't bother

i dont want to curse and say BS but your comment is poitless as it has noting to do on with this thread. i bother posting back because let me say that i'v seen OEM headlights from trucks on halogen that freakin bothers me like hell .... the silver star ultras also have some glare on about 9ft west of the headlight and so on....

poitless dont bother please ....... i want best visisablity for the price , im NOT going to spend $1,000 for a headlight kit!!! if custom lights were smarter and cut prices they would of had ALOT more customers including my self. im not trashing on their serivce or anything but its too much money.

please do me a favor and dont post unrelated comments thanks

Actually he's right.

Do it right or don't do it at all. HIDs in halogen housings is the riciest thing i've ever seen done to a car. It looks terrible.

That isn't my opinion. Its actually a fact.

Read the encyclopedia.

It looks terrible.

Get projectors.

..... im not getthing hid for race* racer or what ever you guys like to call it, im simply trying to get a good output of visablity on the road for me! i'v been blinded the freak out ..... so you think i could care less? i dont have a good salary that makes me afford a nice bmw or benz .... i wouldnt invest soo much on a 96 accord that defeats the reason why i own a 96 if money wouldnt be an issue....

i know its not proper but its my best chance dont you agree?

No. I don't agree. You WON'T get good output of visibility. You'll get a couple big hot spots and no real improvement in lighting QUALITY.

If you don't want to spend the money getting a retrofit done (OMG! I HAVE TO PAY MORE MONEY TO DO IT RIGHT!) do what htey did and learn to do it yourself for less.

Don't cheap out and get a $50 dollar plug n play kit. Anyone noticing the difference between 50 bucks and 1000 should have all kinds of warning bells going off.

I put a **** plug n play in my Accord and got **** results and went back to halogen. Get better halogen bulbs or get a retrofit, don't cram that cheap crap in there.

Plus with warranties, yea there's a warranty, i'd love to see someone try and collect it. I've heard nothing but being stuck with defective equipment.
