Random question why is the SH header shorter?
This is random but I was wondering why the SH header is shorter. The base and SH blocks are teh same so what would warrant the need for a shorter header. Neither produce more hp then the other as well
base and sh blocks are different, despite the fact that they are both H22A4
a sh engine will not bolt up to a base tranny, and vise versa.

That is partially wrong. A base tranny will bolt up to an SH block, but you will need to make a bracket for the intermediate shaft. I know this for a fact, cause I did this with my very first Prelude, and I actually did this again 2 weeks ago for a friend of mine cause we converted his SH to a Base. The SH header is longer than the Base header cause of the ATTS unit.
This isn't my write-up, but it's one that I followed
