New Battery? amp powering down..
Ok so heres the deal.. i got a 98 dx civic.. i have two jl 12 w3v3.. two days ago i washed my car and somehow water got in my trunk and my amp and blew it up.. it was an audiobahn a8002t.. since that amp fried i decided to replace all my wire with jl audio 4 gauge wire.. today i purchased a polk momo c5001 amp.. 875 peak and 500 rms .. hooked everything up no touching wires or anything.. and the amp hits for a minute then just powers on and off.. i dont think i have a short anywhere or anything so my guess is i need a new battery? but im not sure ive had this same system for a while .. even the old w3v2s and never had a problem.. but i am also running fog lights .. halos .. and side mirrors with blinkers off my battery as well.. and if youve had an ek you kno how small the stock batteries are.. so any opinions?
Does the car start?
If so, you do not need a new batt.
I would recheck your connections, and as mentioned, how are the subs wired, and what model of 12W3v3, [2, 4 or 8 ohm]?
Also the Polk Momo C500-1 is a 1x350W RMS into 4 ohms and 1x500W RMS into 2 ohms, it is not stable below 2 ohms.

The problem ended up being simple.. when i bought my new jl audio power wire the fuse block was a little lose with the power wire and i didnt care to check since it came assembled and i figured it out with hte volts meter.. but the amp is running about 500rms at 2 ohms .. i have the w3v3 4ohm subs running at 2 ohms..thx to all
