I would never ever mold my bumpers. It will be disgusting! and if you ever damage the bumpers, youll have to crack the mold to replace the bumpers! dont do it!!!!!

What are you talking about? Adding a molding strip or blending the bumpers to the fenders? Blending will not work due to this little material property called CTE (coefficient of thermal expansion), which is highly mismatched between steel and polypropylene.

It looks stupid and will probably break.

Don't do it. Your car will hate you.

its a bad idea. a friend of mine had this great idea as well- he has a 95 civic coupe. i don't even wanna mention its color but he ended up molding the front bumper for the same reason you are *wouldn't line up correctly*. Heres the solution to that, get everything oem and you wont have a problem with it lining up. Molded bumpers would not be practical for daily driving, any pressure that will be applied to it will result in cracks along the bondo line- it just....eh doesn't look right.

i just noticed all the smileys- ill use this one

Good luck then. Any twisting in the chassis is going to flex the points that are filled in with BS and ruin the paint and whatever material is underneath. I don't think you're realizing the fact that your bumper is plastic and flexes a lot. And if you're talking about a fiberglass body kit or something, that will just chip. People are just trying to warn you that molding your bumper on is ghetto as hell. It's a waste of money, it won't do anything for the looks of your car, and there's a great chance of something getting messed up on it and making it look like a complete beater.

Oh...and if you're gonna want more pics of ricer stuff in the future, you'll be better off on another forum. People might avoid common sense posts and you might actually get some pictures, too.

ok if your front end lines up great try finding a friend of yours or another local guy with a teg that has the rear lining up. see if theres something you did wrong, possibly a defect on the bumper itself that you can fix and line up properly. im sure once you get that lined up- do any left over body work- and paint your car. you'll be happy you didn't shave it but instead cleaned it up nicely.

if your set- like i said my friend had this done but sold it a while back. ill try and get pics of it now, but that was the front bumper- theres some other guy that had this done to the rear...it just looks...odd but o well.

I'd suggest you think about different reasons you might need to remove your bumper in the future before you do this.

- Accident
- Hood latch replacement
- Hood cable replacement
- Headlight replacement
- Fog light installation
