Default Let me tell you about my best friend! (2000 civic sedan timeline, alot of pics!)

So I've had my car for a little over two years and I think it's time for a small timeline. This is my first and only car and it's been with me through everything. Enjoy the pics!

Got it my Sr. year of high school and this is the oldest pic I have of it. It came with the HX rims and the first thing I did was paint them and the side skirts. I also bought a "ctr" grille and threw on some cheapo fogs. I thought it was the sh*t! haha.

Right after HS i got myself some 17" 5-zigens for a graduation present. Damn did I think my civic looked cool. I also got hit and used the extra insurance money on some better fogs.

I then painted the rims gold and went JDM crazy with spoilers and stickers (yeah, it's embarassing). I STILL rolled around unlowered.

I FINALLY lowered the car and got a front lip. You never realize how bad an unlowered car looks until you drop it.

Got sick of the tan interior that all green cars are so blessed to have so I sprayed/replaced the interior. DB leather in the rear and red racing seats up front. I also redid the door panels with a BBC print:

Damn was I loving the new look! Then BAM!! I get into a big accident and almost lose the car. Working at a body shop really paid off. My boss talked insurance into keeping it a clean title.

After a month in the shop it was back better than ever. I lost a rim in the accident so I played around with the HXs and some random black rims.

Also got tired of the diamond print and wanted something cleaner:

Got tired of the 14s and replaced the bent 5-zigen. I also figured that since I'm not swapping the d16 out til after college, I might as well clean it up. So after a little over two years and a lot of ups and downs this is how my car sits. Yes, it's slow as heck but I love the car. One day it'll be something and be sure that I'll update in a few years when I'm done with school.

Thanks for looking!

nice turn-around...went through its phases, but its clean now. i think the tires are too low-profile, but other than that, not bad

I like these sort of timeline threads. Good to see how cars change. One of these days, I will do a timeline on my 4DR. Bought it new in 1998, and it's also green(tho we have different opinions on sand colored interiors ).... so it might take a lot of pics to bring it up to 2008.

^ HAHA. i was wondering if you were going to defend the tan interior. You know had I seen yours before I redid mine I might have reconsidered. You pulled it off great I had way more pics too but I couldnt find em all. I didn't want to pack too many old pics either.

That's funny. I will always defend the sand/taupe interior. Tan is an old mans color.... sand sounds more exotic. lol. Great timeline tho.

OEM CD player + tape deck ftw! After all that stuff you did to it, including stickers and big rims and assorted cheese, it's nice to see some OEM goodness in one of the least likely spots. I rocked that underpowered piece of crap on my EM1, heh.

I sprayed the door panels with a dark gray paint. I forget what kind but it wasn't from kragen or autozone. I'll get back to you when I find out. I also hear that VHT vinyl dye spray cans also work really well.

haha, yeah i liked them for awhile; they were definately a headturner. I want to get smaller rims. What size you guys think is best? I always wanted 16s. I originally got these 17s because my good friend sold em to me for dirt cheap.

Go with 16's if you're not going to slam the car... It looks good by the way.
