I have d15b vtec and it was running good for a while after I swapped it in but now it seems to be running slower and I hear a ticking/ knocking sound from my engine. It sounds like maybe valves I think? Im getting shitty gas mileage too. Im also getting a little water out of my exhaust.

 

do a valve adjustment and a compression test. do you notice the coolant decreasing from resevoir?

 

Check the oil, sounds like it could use a valve lash adjustment. If its straight water, its usually just condensation and shouldnt be anything to worry about.

Oh yes, a lot maybe depending on how bad it is right now.

Improve it no, bring it back if any was lost, possibly but its worth a shot.

 

Yeah a bit of power is lost, but I know something is not right. Does anyone know the specs for a valve lash adjustment on a d15b?
