primer car advice.

Default primer car advice.

i plan on buying a friends car, he has primered the whole car, do i need to paint it rite away or can this wait till the end of the summer, anything i should worry about? guess he bought the car from a lady who had it painted hot pink so he primered it black...thanks alot for any help/ advice

Problems with primer is that it absorbes oils and other road grime. You would be supprised how much oil comes off of other peoples cars when you drive.

there's 102 type of primer and no they are not all the same.

MOST of the RTS 1k primer are not water proof and hydroscopic, meaning they will take in water.

there is no point of spraying the primer now and wait a year to do the job, you'll be ending up with doing more primer/fixing crap like coal forge said.

yea its already primered so i was wondering it it could cause a problem, if i dont paint it right away if i was to purchase the car... i havent price body shops to see what a paint job would even cost me.
