Del sol seal leak help me

Default Del sol seal leak help me

I have a 95 del sol and i have a leak along the top of the passesnger window and someone suggested i adjust the door to make a tighter seal against the window and the weather stripping, i was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on how to do this, thanks

Get some seal grease. You can use vaseline too i've been told.

Yea man, I went to the store yesterday to get some of the grease for the seals but i didnt see any, so I just went home and did some THIN layers of vaseline along the weather stripping

my del sol leaked on the driver side, i just got new moldings from honda for the targa top and it stopped that

I fixed it by selling my del sol.. heh

I couldn't stand the leaks, squeaks and lack of space. cool for a little weekend street ripper though

yeah mine creeks and sqeeks too......i need to sell it for something bigger.

you would be better off just buying a brand new glass top... the molding is atleast
500 right? glass tops are only 650, totally worth the extra bit imo

i bought new molding for the front and the side of the top for under 300, and all i really had to do was take the fender off and tighten up the door hinges, that seemed to stop it considering it was pouring last night and not even a drop came in

I'll have to remember that next time I find myself owning a del sol. Still my favorite Honda and I still don't know why...

when you buy the glasstop brand new, it comes BARE, literally just the top..you have to swap out the latches, locking mechanism, seals, etc onto the glasstop..
