no, it was built by honda...the rover cars would say rover on them...

This car was a tie up with Rover. Although i can never remember which way around it is... i.e, which was based on the other. I think it's the Civic that was based on the Rover...
Here's the car which the Civic is the same as, the Rover 400:

Actually they were both based on the Honda Domani
The Civics were built in Swindon, the same place they used to build the EP's.
This was the Rover
and the engines are different, as is some of the trim and interior.
the rovers before were based on EF saloons. Basically they had a deal with Honda to provide them with older models of Honda cars for them to re-badge and sell.
