Review Password:JDM (magnetic drain plugs)
I just wanted to give a review of Password:JDM (shipping, service, and the actual product) for anyone thinking about buying from them (and hasn't before).
On Wednesday I purchased Password:JDM Magnetic Oil & Tranny Drain Plug Package for my FG2. It was $29.99, with free USPS priority mail shipping. Just after I purchased, I emailed them to ask which plug is for the tranny (one is longer). Today (Friday), when I got online at 8 am, I still hadn't received a reply, but I wasn't worried. So while I was here on H-t.com, I pm'd IT GUY and he provided with the answer I needed (longer one is the tranny plug).
Around 11:30 (about an hr ago), the mailman came and my package was included in his delivery. I opened the package, and inside was a small box and two Password:JDM stickers (pleasant surprise). Inside the box was a small baggie holding the two plugs and two crush washers (also a surprise). Everything was in perfect brand new condition.
I took some pictures, and while they were uploading onto my computer, I checked my email, and there was an answer to my question, from P:JDM. Already had my answer, but it would have helped, had I not asked IT GUY.
After uploading the pictures, I swapped out the drain plugs. I changed my oil while I was at it. The plugs fit perfect and look great. I want to see if they work, but I also hope there isn't too much metal shavings inside my enginge/tranny since I only have 8k on my car.
I was very very satisfied with my first experience with Password:JDM. Their service was excellent, and the shipping was fast (and free!). The product was better than I expected, and fit like factory.
to Password:JDM.

Yes they do. But you'll have to open the tranny.

If you read my entire post, you would have seen that I already installed them, before I even made this thread. Sure, I'll post pics when I do the next few oil changes, but I also stated that I hope there isn't too much floating around in my engine or tranny, as my car only has 8k miles on it. But, the $30 spent early, is definitely worth the wear and tear (and $$), the plugs could save down the line.

Are those magnetic plugs 14mm hex heads, or are they still 17mm hex heads? I bought a set of MFactory ones and the heads are 14mm. I like not having to remember to switch wrench sizes since I'm always in the mind set of using a 17mm for all oil changes. It's one reason to like the Spoon plugs better than the MFactory plugs.
Also, you should look into using a Filter Mag and an oil filter cutting tool.

I read a post from someone on H-T that his magnet came off his plug when he got it. I just hope this doesn't happen to you while on the car.

The review was of Password:JDM as a whole (as my OP said). But, I will do a review of how they worked, since someone asked. My next oil change will actually only be in about 3-4 weeks. When it gets warm, I rack up miles on my cars like crazy.

First of all, read the title of the thread (Review Password:JDM). Kinda pointless to hope for something when the title tells you what the thread is about. You don't like it? Don't f**kin' post in here then. Like I said, at my next oil change I'll update the thread with pictures.

Sometimes a simple "customer service review" can be a good thing and NOT pointless. That way other people who have not heard of Password JDM and might be debating whether or not to purchase from them can feel more comfortable in doing so.
Try to think OUTSIDE the box next time instead of coming into a thread and spewing nonsense.

Thanks RICO_. I actually wondered which side of the fence you would be on, regarding the topic of this thread (the side you just defended or the side that says its a pointless thread).

Customer service reviews on sites where we purchase products for our cars are NEVER pointless threads.
Just be sure to post an after-review on whether or not the product made any difference.
