Default EK9 Type R Shift Boot Will it fit an EF?

Will the shift boot (black leather w/ red stitching) from an ek9 fit an ef model hatchback? I have heard rumors that it does but have never seen it. Any feedback would be great.

I installed one on my CRX. You have to modify it to fit. The main problem is the hole for the shift rod in ours is in the center while the EK9 hole is toword the front. Plus the boot is bigger. I cut the 4 corners where the stiching is until is was centered and didn't look to baggy.
