Default Headlight repair?

Okay i don't know were this topic goes.. But i'm looking to repair a pair of hazed headlights. I know i can polish it with PlastiX (which has made my headlights tons better), but it's still not as clear as i would like.

I'm wondering, can i wet sand it (2000 grit?) and spray clearcoat on it (will that give it a nice clear look again?), or should i wet sand it and use PlastiX again? First time i used PlastiX without wetsanding.

you dont sounds like you know what are you doing.

your first attempt to polishing failed because you didn't cut it deep enough, go sand it with 1500 then 2000, polish it to a shine.

what happen with sanding and polishing is that you move from the more coarse grit to finer stuff until you can polish it to a shine.

clearcoat is a good idea, but only use the quality one. most of the plastic headlight has an UV protection coating on it, once you sand or polish it, it's gone.

Stick with the quality aftermarket re-clearing kits if you're not comfortable with a buffer. If you're comfortable with a variable speed buffer, pm me and we'll chat. I'm very experienced with this type of repair.
