I think you need to be more specific and give more info.

just saying F22 doesn't say much. There are different variants of the F22 such as...
F22A1
F22A4
F22A6
F22B1
F22B2
just to name a few.

The F22Ax motors have different exhaust port spacing than the F22Bx motors. I'm not sure of the exhaust port spacing on the F23Ax motors.

correct me if i'm wrong, f23 (v-tech) and f22 (v-tech) share the same head. i think the header should work.

If thats the one that he has, it should work. But the exhaust may not line up on the cat.

iirc, it should mount to the head, I believe both the F22B and F23A exhaust ports are spaced O-OO-O whereas the F22A exhaust ports are spaced O-O-O-O. Though I can't recall how well it will match up to the cat.

which is fine, I have a Sheepdog CD6 exhaust on my 99 2.3 CL and it had to be lengthened to fit the car correctly.

Thanks for the help

I had a F22B1 header on a F23 head, depending on what chassis, you might have to relocate the 02 sensor, and possibly extend wiring for it.

I know it's an old thread but can anybody help with this question. An f23a header fits the f22b head, but will the downpipe of the f22b match up with the f23 header?

Do you have an F22b2 or F22B1? The B1 uses a 4-2-1 style manifold and mid pipe. I believe the F23A is a standard 4-1...unless it is a JDM motor...

I do have the B1 and the manifold in question actually is from a JDM motor. Long story short, I'm in need of a new manifold. I found a JDM Mugen off a f23a motor for cheap, lil more than what I could get an oem for. I know the 2 are alike but wanted to make sure the f23a JDM would match with my f22b1 down pipe.

Can't answer for sure on the mugen piece, but I do know the F22B1 mid pipe will bolt to a JDM F23A manifold. If the mugen is a direct fit replacement, it should work, and I will be sticking that info back in the brain...

Looking at mugen headers on ebay...it may bolt up, but the original mugen midpipe had much larger secondary tubes than the factory piece.

What issue will I run into if the secondary is in fact larger, besides the obvious fit? Good news is, I guess, it will fit the 22b and since I also need a new exhaust I can build or put together a midpipe that's fits the Mugen header.

If the pipes for the Mugen are much bigger the seals for the midpipe may not seal properly.
