Default Who insures you?

I need to find out who's a good company to use as insurance and what rates you guys are paying out there. I'm 18 and going to be insuring a Ducati 900 CR. What do you think my rates will be? I've heard people say like 2000 a year and some say like a few hundred dollars a year. Thanks.

My friend's 1998 ZX-6R is insured for liability only for $178 a year. He's 21 years old. Full coverage on that same bike is $4300 a year.

Big difference, eh? Liability for me!

Then the peson who hit you insurance would pay. If they didn't have insurance your insurance would still pay the medical bills. The only thing you would loose is the bike. At $4000 a year you could buy another one.

Usually insurance companies will sell you a years worth of insurance to be paid in four payments. You can get down times where the bike is uninsured, just make sure you don't ride it. Where I live it's not a problem because I couldn't ride it if I wanted to. What type of insurance you choose is up to the individual, everyone's situation is different. Some people can get full coverage for a decent price.
