will disconnecting battery reset the VAFC?
just like topic says, im about to attempt to fix my o2 sensor and will have to reset the ECU when im done. will i have retune everything in the VAFC when i do?
I'm 99% sure that you don't. I have a Super AFC in my RX-7 and it remembers settings even if the battery has been removed for days.
FYI- Super AFC is about the same as the VAFC... only the SAFC is designed to work with an AFM and doesn't have any VTEC functions. Both look identical and are made by Apexi.

Im thinking about getting a VAFC soon and I have a question that is along the same lines... Does the VAFC permenently modify the ECU? Is it possible to reset everything back to defualt?
thx
thx
Unless you disconnect the AFC from the ECU, the settings will be retained. Anything else will be fine (unplugging battery, taking out ECU fuse, unplugging AFC from wire harness, etc).
If you unplug the AFC, the ECU will return to stock settings. You just have to make sure that you complete the circuit for MAP, otherwise your car won't be reading pressure and it'll run like crap and not get any fuel.
