97 CX Y8 swap issues
I recently purchased a 97 cx with a d16y8 swaped into it for cheap becasue it didnt run.
I got it running (air injection holes) but there are a few issues with it.
1, Vtec doesnt work, Looks wired incorrectly so im going to re do that
2, Knock sensor isnt wired right (not pinned and fellout of ecu) will rewire as well
3, When cold wants to stall. As it get warmer it idles up to 1300 rpm
4, Burning coolant and a fair amount of it. Not sure if the head gasket is gone or something is leaking coolant into the intake tract. gonna pull plugs on day off and see which are getting coolant on them.
Any idead? im trying to decide if i want to save the y8 (unknown milleage) or just grab a b20.

Also noticed that im hitting rev limiter around 4500 rpm or so if i get into it.
Im going to be fixing the wiring tomorrow weather permitting so hopefully ill just have the code 91 left.
Still burns coolant and still bogs very bad up till about 3k rpm or so and show is over by 4500rpm so its a little hard to drive right now.
