lube for rear sway bar???
i'm getting a horrible creak/squeak/groan from the rear of my car when i go over bumps or around turns when either side of rear suspension is loaded independently. what kind of lube is safe for use on the swaybar bushings? and where can i purchase it?
I just took my sway off, actually just took the mounting off, and left the endlinks. Cleaned it up all nice, wraped the hell out of it with teflon tape, put the poly back on, and bolted the whole thing back up. I found I actually had a little groan from from my rear LCA, but a little silicone spray took care of that...
they are stock bushings, i have never touched that part of the suspension. is white lithium grease readily available at home depot or pep boys?

i do have a 4pt autopower rollbar, but it is tightened down well enough i wouldn't think it would squeak. any thoughts on de-squeaking a rollbar mount?
i'm going to put the car up on jackstands to locate the squeak but i still think it's the swaybar.

to all the naysayers, it was the left rear swaybar bushing that was making noise and it was very loud/annoying. i picked up a tub of super white lithium grease at pepboys (>$3). i took both rear swaybar bushings off and lubed 'em up real nice like. i also found that one of the bushing bracket bolts was loose which probably allowed dirt/water to get in there and wash away any lube from the factory. it seems that most of the various bolts on the car come over/under torqued from the factory relative to the helms' suggestions. i lubed all the left rear side suspension bushings too; now i have the smooth quiet ride of a caddy!
