Default Is this replacent is possible- please, help me!!!

First of all I want to say HELLO to all hond's fans, because it's my first post.

A few weeks ago I bought in the USA almost new Honda Civic 4D (2007 year of made). It's look as this one: http://www.otomoto.pl/index.ph...76415 The only diferent between this one and maine is color- my is silver, but this is not the most important thing.

The car I bought is after small crash. In conection with this the car has small damages. I have to repair front lights nad buffer. But I would like to exchange this parts with using "european verion parts". Because I want to my car which I bought, look the same as european verion. So I would like to my car of front look was the same as this one: http://www.otomoto.pl/index.ph...70245

As you can see, USA verion and european verion is not the same. But front of those is similar. In conection with this I have question to all fans Honda:

Is this replacent possible? Is it possible to repair USA version with using european version parts? Both version have different front lights and buffers. I think it's possible, but there is one more thing: will front lights and buffer of european version will be compatibility with mudguards and bonnet of USA version?

Answer of this question is very important for me. I don't want any suprise when I will buy new parts, which won't pass with rest of USA version front parts.

It would be great, when someone'll answer my question.
I'm waiting for any sugestion and hearing from anyone who know it,

Best regards,

Sebastian.

english isn't the OP's first language and he lives out of the country, cut the guy a break

You should be able to swap the bumper and headlights, I'm not entirely sure about the fenders and hood needing to be changed. I'm sure someone intelligent can chime in and give you some more input.

I'm not sure what the cheapest market would be for you to buy from (as im not quite sure where you are located) but You can either buy the Canadian Acura CSX parts, the European (NON UK model) Parts, or the Japanese parts. Like mentioned above you will need fenders, hood, lights, bumper, and it wouldn't hurt to check the undercovers part #s and see if they are the same. Also, get extra clips and pushpins, those things are easy to break.

sort of, actually USDM to EDM (he's in poland, has a USDM Si). I think he's just trying to use parts that are readily available to him in Europe instead of sourcing parts from out of the country to repair the front end.

If this is going to be done, everything needs to be swapped. That includes hood, bumper, fenders, headlights, and grille.

BTW...it would look really bad.

Yea, from the front. USDM front looks good with USDM rear. EDM front+USDM rest of car= ugly IMO.

OP, why didn't you just buy a Civic in Poland? The price to import the thing, has to overshadow whatever you saved by buying a damaged car. Not trying to be a smartass, I am just curious. Is there something about the USDM that you just had to have?

EDM/JDM taillight look like cheap ebay "euro style" taillights. The USDM tails look better IMO. I think the car will look good. Oh and USDM rest of car is the same as everywhere else except for the taillights/trunk.

It's my understanding that wrecked cars can be imported as parts and not as a vehicle making taxes on importing drop significantly. Other thing to remember is the US dollar value dropping compared to Euros. And if you clicked the link he posted, the civic in europe costs 16,363 Euros which comes out to $25500 for a car with an R18. This is $5000-$10000 more than the USDM equivalents.

In all reality, why he did what he did isn't really pertinent for this thread. He has the car, he has a question about parts fitment. No need to tell him it'll be ugly or question his motives. just my $.02

I think the whole USDM car looks better lol. I think the EDM civic looks like a really ugly passat from the front.

Didn't know this. If that's true, cool!

I know it's not pertinent. That's why I said I was just curious. I am, in no way, questioning his motives. I was just wondering if there was something about the USDM civic that he "had to have". Like, idk, maybe he really likes the USDM's taillights, or something. LOL. Idk. I told him what parts he needs. Then, I gave him my opinion, which is that the car will be ugly.

Man, if every other country except the UK got the FD2 Front and Rear... then the USDM parts must be in some serious demand everywhere else. Good to know for when/if I get my FA5
