Default 225 in the back would fit there?

Hi guys!

I use to run 205 in autoX on my gsr teg... I would like to go to 225/50/15 on V710 but i'm concern about clearance in the back...Can't find friends here that have run that set up.

Here's my set up in the back:

GC + koni yellow
-2.25 camber
1/16 toe in
Enkei RFP1 +41 offset

I know I can roll my quarter but I'm more concern about the rear trailing arm...

Anybody knows someone that has fit 225 V710 Kuhmos there?

I have run those tires with a 38mm offset on my EF. There was very minor rubbing in the rear trailing arm during cornering, but the damage was limited to just rubbing the paint off and creating a small bare spot. The fender lip side was the bigger issue. There was a good bit of hammer work as I recall and then some smoke for the first lap or two. Those rear fenders have three or four layers of steel in some places and are a bitch to roll properly. A very BFH was required.

I found the 710s to be faster than the Toyos by a noticeable bit, though not stratospherically so. They are also less durable. I flat spotted one much more easily than I expected. My fault, to be sure, but I've screwed up just as bad with the Toyos and not gone straight down to the cord.

Seems like it would be a good auto-x tire.

ef has way less space rta to fender than integra. everyone with a dc2/4 chassis is using 38-35 offset for the most part with 225s. kumho, toyo, hoosier, hankook.

my ef only rubs the outside with the toyos 225 50 on a +38. when i put +40 in the back its fine. but i have da trailing arms. they have a differaant offset than stock civic and crx si. but 225 45 hoosiers on stock ta would hit the ta and stick out past the quarter on a +40 offset.

Stock teg with stock offset will not fit 225 Hoosiers or Kumhos in back (rubs on LTA). If you reduce the offset or use 10mm spacers it should fit.

I have a DA and I can fit a 225 V710 in the rear with +38 and +40 offset rims. I have no issues with the rear trailing arm at all. To clear the fender, I did have to do some significant rolling.

I think I'm gonna ride an ackward set up...hoosier A6 225/45/15 in front and 205/50/15 in the back... I'll drive it like a fork lift!

Any feed back with this set-up?

It won't be as loose as you think. I'll be running 275's up front with 205's out back, just like Rodney did on his EG SM monster.

ive done the 225 710 on a 15x8 38 off wheel on my dc
roll the fenders a fair bit, and i still needed about 2mm of spacer to make it not hit RTA

just put them on and find out. at an autocross, ther realy isnt much use for 225 out back. on track its a differant story. but if u can drive r-comps on track, i dot see why you cant do it at an autocross.....

i ran SM with 650 frt 600 rear in my DC. when i say roll i dont mean my fenders are now protruding from the car, but the inner lips are pretty much flat now

also check the seam of metal in the front fenders under the fenderliners, under hardbraking and turning the seam added a 3rd grove to my right front V710 and i cut a portion of the fender liners out and hand rolled the tabs that hold the liner in as well. its all in the sake of fastar tho so its all good
