Owners of European ITR, come here !!!
Hello
I live in France and i own a 1999 Honda Integra Type R.
My car is 144,2 hp and 113,6 at the wheels, full stock
I've ordered a Buddy Club Spec III post catalytic exhaust system (i will receive it soon) and i have replace the catalyser by a Supersprint one.
How much power gain can i hope ?
I've read that setting the ignition to 18° is good, how can i set it (need pictures and good explanation) and what will it bring ?
Thanks
Axionman

oups,i meant 144,2 kw (196 hp) and 155 hp at the wheels
For the cat jack, its a 60 mm one, as the buddy club exhaust
i don't know the conversion inch/mm sorry.
For the ignition, i can't let it do by my honda dealer, the car is still guaranted (for 1 month again)
But i have some friends working as mecanicians, i think they could do it..
Thanks for your help

That's a better value.
The Supersprint is 60 mm at one side and 50 mm at the other. The stock header has a 50 mm OD flange, that's why.
2.5" = 63 mm. JDM headers have an 65 mm OD flange which is much better than 50 mm!!!

Ok
so the next step for me is to replace the stock header by a new one with 65 mm od flange ?
I have some more questions:
What is the stock header like ?
4-2-1 or 4-1 ?
Is the supersprint catjack as short as the japanese ones ?
Because somebody on this forum owns a Buddy Club Spec 3 exhaust and the tail is too long...
Thanks

go Turbo
1 inch is equal to 25.4mm.
Good luck with your R and happy tuning. We are all glad when you will hit the search button in the upper right corner, cause many questions are posted 100x and are beaten to death. Like turbo vs supercharger!
YEAH, 2.5 inch with high flow cat ownz bottle necked exhausts! Go with 2.5
BTW: European tuning-scene is 98% crap, buy parts directly from USA or Japan when you want serious tuning. We call that "style tuning" rice here.
this is the best board about Honda! I like when more and more peoples from Euro come to this community.

Is the spoon sports header a good one ? (i yhink so, but i also heard of toda ones)

Ps for austrian type R: thanks for the welcome. I don't like the tuning for the style, but for the performances, and you're right, there's nothing interesting for japanese cars in Europe

Axio,
welcome!
Thanks to all of you for the welcome
I see we are few to represent the old continent
For information, i had to order my exhaust directly in Japan, by Buddy club's website.
You're right, best parts for japan car are japanese ones

wowwww, shake it easy on that... u have a japanese car, therefore the best parts for it are JAPANESE, if u had a Beamer or Merc, u wouldn't go shopping for parts on the US/JP.....
I guess of 5000 modified cars there is only 1 performance wise trimmed. And this is a chipped turboed Audi with heavy *** wheels 8.5x18 in front and 10x18 in rear on an AWD.
this is tuning in Europe. Spent lots of money in chipping and then destroing the *more power* with heavy wheel. [B]Congratulation to the riced-out-tuning-shops which are hunting money with neons, heavy rims, fender pulling and ugly body kits.

Welcome
We should set up a swap or something. We ship all the BMW/Mercedes stuff from Germany to the States and Japan, and you guys ship the sweet stuff to here

axionman - welcome to Honda-tech.com

If you want a header that does it all for a reasonable price, go with Toda 4-2-1 header. It has like-OEM ground clearance and puts out plenty of power for any N/A application down the road.
try http://www.ipsracing.com http://www.randdmotorsports.com and they should be able to get you the header.

Hey, portuguese peep here.
If, you´re ordering your exasut setup from Japan, just get the Vision N1 complete exaust setup, you´ll pay the same, and you´ll have the best header for your car.
Pinota
P.S: i´ve been near France this weekend, in pamplona, Spain.

Salut man,
