Found the culprit (wire) that was a complete stumper... tach needle jumping, next car is dead.
First off, it started with a problem I just recently had.. 1st syptom was the tach needle would work but would start to flucuate, then a little dose of hesitant power.
2nd symptom was when my car died, would crank no problem,
at the point where the main relay primes the fuel pump, it was constanly loudly clicking and the check light would not turn off.
I had been given a couple answers - could be cluster from reving the **** out of it, then the dizzy's igniter..
6hr's after sourcing the culprit this was it..
If anyone ever runs into this problem, first thing to look for is a shorting or grounding out O2 sensor wire. This little fixer caused me major head aches, and a ding in the wallet.
