Default Magnetic Motor/Trans oil plugs?

Allright I have an 08 Si Sedan with about 2k on it. Im having some of the common 2nd and 3rd gear gringing/knotching that we have spoke about previously. Im thinking that because of this im probably collecting a small amout of metal particles in my trans and i dont want the metal floating around to cause any more damage. Do the metalic plugs work? Do they already come stock in our cars? Is it worth the 30 bucks?

yes, these plugs work. I have a GE magnetic oil drain plug on my ex. I would suggest Them to all to buy them, especially the si guys that have had the famous 3rd gear problem. I know skunk2 sells both.

The transmissions already come with a magnet. It's in the bottom of the clutch housing by the shift rod and linkage. The magnetic plug just allows you to monitor transmission wear and condition every time you change the MTF.
