Default 1990 honda accord ex transmission problem

problem with my 90 honda accord ex. it just seems like the transmission has completely gone out. it use to just drop into neutral randomly but now it wont even go into gear except for park, reverse, and neutral. is there anything i can do besides buy a new trans. that might fix it.

just drops to neutral randomly?
I've seen several of that model that had the torque convertors come apart and the fiber plugged up the fluid pickup.
The only sure way to know is to hook up your gauge set to the test ports and check the pressure readings that are in the service manual.
