wuts up guys. so im new to H-T but not to Hondas in general. but here is the thing. i've never messed around with changing out the flywheel. well now its time to change the clutch on my 99 civic si and i was trying to research the best option. tell give you a clue...all the motor has done is CAI, jdm type r headers, 2 1/4 piping w/ es muffler, and chipped p28.
this is my daily, but i enjoy havin fun in it too...
i've heard so many mixed reviews between Excedy stage 1 organice style clutch and ACT stage 1, and also Competition clutches....so anyone out there have insite to the best choice i am open ears. i've heard the springs tend to break in the excedy clutches...but again...i really dont know first hand.
now for the flywheel... as far as i've understood it..changin the flywheel is just resulting in less inertia. and that the crank is actually what produces the torque. but i've also heard the opposite from people who have been around/working on hondas for the past 10 years..they say anything under 12lbs on a flywheel and i'm going to lose a bunch of torque...so anyone on here that can clarify this for me it would be greatly appreciated....
thanks again in advance everyone...appreicate it!!!
