You can use the Spoon 4-Pot Piston Calipers on the 4thGen VTEC Rotor and Knuckle also.

You'll need VTEC 11.1" Rotors from a 4thGen VTEC and that's all you'll need for a Spoon Caliper Setup.

is this just a matter of taking my prelude s rotors off and putting vtec rotors on or do i need more equipment to convert the s rotors to vtec ones??

Nope, take S Model Rotor off and put VTEC Model Rotor on.

Only thing that would need to be different would be the Calipers and Brackets. You can't use the Stock S Model Calipers and Bracket on the VTEC Rotors.

Eh, I'm not sure what you mean at first. But here's some spec's..

4thGen Prelude S & Si Model have 10.2" Rotors.
5thGen Prelude VTEC Model have 11.1" Rotors.

4thGen S & Si Model Calipers are a different size than the VTEC Model Calipers, but they have the same size Piston.
The Brackets are also different between the S & Si Models and the VTEC Model for obvious reasons, to allow for a larger Rotor.

The S & Si Bracket will not fit over the VTEC Rotor.

If you hit up your local parts store, you should be able to get rebuilt calipers for the Vtec model with brackets, and pick up a set of rotors and pads, then just bolt everything on. I will be doing this on my base model next month.
Here are the calipers I will be using:
