I've got a 95 Civic DX and i've had an aftermarket cd player in it since i bought it two years ago. I installed an amp and a sub, and quickly removed it due to the fact, i'm not really into the booming system. Anyways, after I had taken it out, a few weeks went by and no problems, until i went in one morning for work, and the cd player wouldn't come on, i checked fuses and checked the wiring. everything is still good. So i tried another cd player, i took a cd player out of my tahoe, and installed it, and nothing happened, it won't come on, no nothing, no fuses are blown, and my wires are correct. i'm an electrician and i even had my boss check it out, and he couldn't figure it out either. I was out messing with it today trying to figure it out, and i happened to touch the ground wire to the constant battery wire and it sparked and blew the fuse, so i'm getting power, but i just can't seem to figure it out, i'm about to crazy! lol, and by the way, both cd players work in my tahoe. so if someone could help. please let me know! thanks

Check the back up fuse under the hood, Its a small 7.5 amp fuse happened to me on a 3 hour trip.

 

Checked before, and just checked again and still ok

 

did you actually get a meter and check the voltages on the acc. and 12v constant wires. and ohm out ground to a known good ground to verify its good.

 

all of it's good. i'm just really lost right now, there's good power coming out of the harness. it's like once it hits the cd player, it just loses power...i don't know. i know it's not the cd player, cause i've tried that cd player out of my tahoe, that did work, and it didn't in the civ. and once i put it back in the tahoe, the cd player worked, i don't know, if theres anything else...please let me know
