Default Navigation install?

Hey guys, I've got an 08 Civic si and i've been very impressed with the car thus far. I have a question and forgive me if there's already been a topic started already but I was wondering what it might cost to get the factory navigation installed? Is it even worth it at this point or is it worth my while to just make a purchase on a stand alone navigation system. I do a ton of traveling for my job so i'm definitely considering this. Any helpful input would be great.

Thanks!

Its been done...ask type X. I can tell ya its pretty expensive for everything, if you dont care about factory intergration such as voice control or steering wheel controls..go with an aftermarket unit. Well you can keep steering wheel controls you just need an adapter.

I looked into that myself, its going to be over 2000 dollars for factory install. What you should do is buy the dash piece for the nav. Then buy an aftermarket nav/radio/tv/ or whatever your want and install it like that. In the end it will save you a couple hundred. There are a few who did that on the 0cho (8thcivic.com).

You should go check it out, they have DIY's and alot of threads already made.

F that, i'm not spending $2,000 to put the navigation in. I'll buy a TomTom or stick to my trusty Jimapco map book. Thanks, guys for the input!
