Default added minor mods(review)

This weekend a couple goodies came in,H&R race springs,dc lower tie bar, redline man tran fluid, and mugen radiator cap.
1.H&R race springs=I had sportlines the H&R made the car feel alot better, there stiffer but ride nice and handling response feels alot better.Took out alot of under steer. On these springs. The other part to it is the car sits perfect. The front comes right to the wheel well,I can't even get my finger in,the back is a hair higher.2.0 front 1.75 rear. The thing I can't understand is they claim the sport lines are 1.7 or 1.75 all around, but the car looks alot lower in the front and rear with the H&R,the rears are suppose to be the same size as the sportlines but there alot lower then the sportlines? But in any case H&R's are great

DC lower tie bar=Looks good,I can't tell the difference in handling.

Mugen radiator cap=No difference just hopin help to keep the car running cool in hot wheather.

Redline tran fluid=The trans feels really smooth helped alot, maybe because it needed a flush.

Just thought I would give some of the other HT members MO on the minor mods.

Why does everyone think that a higher pressure radiator cap will directly help them run cooler?

Complete misinformation.

The only time a radiator cap is beneficial is if the coolant temp gets hot enough to blow the cap off. In which case, the Mugen's will withstand 1.3bar of pressure before releasing the excess pressure. If the coolant escapes the cooling system, then you'll be looking at problems with keeping the engine cool b/c the coolant will start evaporating into a gaseous state from liquid, and in that state, it conducts little to no heat.

It's like boiling food in a pan. If you keep the water from boiling at 100 degrees Celsius by putting the lid on it, the temperature will be able to rise past 100 degrees Celsius without boiling.

I'm not sure how many people will understand, but it's a physical properties kinda thing that you learn in Chemistry and/or Physics.

The car shifts great with the redline,as of right now it feels alot smoother, even better than when I bought the car.As for the Mugen cap, thanks I really wasn't sure what the real benefit would be.But 1 thing I can say is the H&R race springs feel great and the car has that drop I've always wanted.

and why would you say that? the Redline stuff is exactly what our cars specify (10w30 weight fluid) and it has friction additives that ensure proper synchro operation... I may or may not use that when I change my tranny fluid, depending on price and availability... if not then I will use Honda MTF also.

i'm using redline MTL fluid. it's thick, and it shifts smooth. how can it be "bad" for the transmission if it shifts smoother?

Well I took a chance,so far it feels smoother, and not to mention it said it makes less noise coming from the trans, meaning there was a very quiet winding nice as I go threw my gears, sounded kinda normal, but it is now gone. SO far.

Yea I know it doesn't make a big difference or any at all,but it does look hot, especially with the Greddy Evo slangin next to it.The back shot of the car looks good, now I just have to get rid of that big *** 3 piece wing and I'm straight.

i'll agree they look cool, but you said you didnt notice a difference....just letting you know why. I got mine cause i thought it'd help and it looked cool a couple years ago and i got a really good deal on it ($70 new) but I was pissed after my suspension bent it (no, it didnt get hit by anything)

didnt bottom out....if i had there would be nasty scratches on it and there are none. It was still torqued to spec when I took it off after it was bent...it blew my mind and the only thing possible was from it just being too stressed out from my Koni's being on near full firm, my stiff rear springs and my ITR rear sway bar and Spoon strut bar making the rear end so stiff the DC bar couldnt handle the stresses and just buckled.

Well if this 1 breaks I will switch,To be honest the main reason I bought was for looks,I'm not one of those poser guys but I think the car looks bad *** when your driving behind it and theres a nice exhaust to compliment it,because its polished and has a nice design to it.

I think there were a few people on this
board that had problem with the redline stuff.
You may want to do a search.
I personally use the honda stuff.
