Default Blower motor and radio questions?

Does anyone know what would cause my blower motor and radio not to work when my car is cold. They work after it has been running awhile or on a warm day.

what car? year model? when they do work, do they come on simultaneously or one at a time? How cold is cold? Does the radio turn on with no sound, or not at all? Is your radio stock?

Sorry, 93 Gsr. It is below 40 degrees when they do not work. They will work at the same time. I have no power to the stock radio, but the lights for the heater/ ac controls work. As does the blend door. But once either the sun warms the car up or I let it run for awhile they will work.

I couldn't find any obvious things that would cause the radio and blower motor to work (or not) together. I would try to troubleshoot the radio. If there is a common problem between the two, this should lead you to it. If you have a meter, pull the radio and test for power at the radio plug. If you have power but the radio doesn't work than the radio is bad and the problems are unrelated. If you don't have power, move to the underdash fuse box and check for power there, then the underhood fuse box. Does your radio still have all of it's presets when it comes on? This would indicate you are losing switched power but not constant. The ignition cylinder is common to both radio and blower. I seem to remember a recall on ignition switches from Honda around that time. Pull the steering column cover and check for any obvious burn marks or discoloration on the ignition cylinder or the ignition harness. When you check for power use a meter and check for voltage. A test light will light up with 5 volts on it but your radio won't turn on with five volts. Could have some corrosion limiting current. Just some ideas. I'm stumped for a quick solution. Good luck!
