Default Kprod question

Me ECU is on its way to hondata for kpro to be installed. The question is this, when i get my ECU back, will i be able to hook it back up and drive without any problems or does it need to be tuned right away? Other related questions, I have the RBC intake manifold and 70mm BDL TB sitting right here on my floor. I'm trying to avoid paying someone to do something as simple as installing bolt ons but i need to know if the car will be drivable after installation without a tune. You see I'm in Daytona Beach FL right now and the closest shop with a dyno is in Orlando (central Florida turbo). I would like to put these parts on so i dont have to pay, but will the car be able to drive with these two mods and untuned Kpro. It seems like they would mess with the air to fuel mixture big time. I know that having an RBC intake manifold on car without a tune is a loose of power, but its still drivable, so would the same thing occur because of the 70mm TB? Sorry if this is a little confusing and thanks for the help guys.

Yeah itll be fine. If anything just tune your A/F for WOT yourself and worry about the rest when you decide to get a FULL tune.

yeah, the KPro will come with software and you should be able to upload a 'base tune' simillar to yours to at least get you "in the ball park" and able to drive it. i would still go to a reputable shop and have it dyno tuned though, just to be sure all the drivabillity issues are taken care of and plus get the most reliable horse power possible. I dont see the manifold and TB being that big of an issue. now im not too familiar with the RBC, but is the port for the mouth of the throttle body 70mm? if not, before you install it, it would be a good idea to port match the intake to the throttle body. this includes the new gasket as well. b-cuz if the manifolds port is smaller, the intake air rushing pass the TB opening will hit that extra lip like a wall and cause turbulance, which will actually rob you of hp as well.

if you have any more Q's, just call central florida turbo since they are hondata dealers and they should be able to help ya out.
