i had a quick question about how to get the different valve cover for a k20z3? is there different colors or are they painted or power coated?
another question i have is if the valve cover from a k20a3 can fit on a k20z3?
i was looking for a blue or black valve cover if that makes a differences.

 

well. all k series valve covers are interchangeable i think.

u can either buy a type-r valve cover which is red. or theres one thats yellow as well. i think it was a spoon or mugen. cant remember

or u can paint it yourself. some shops might have them in various colors. i prefer painting it myself so it will be one of a kind, not following every the trend

 

ya i was thinking painting or something might be the only way to get the color i was looking for. is there a special type of paint that can be used because of the engine heat (paint peeling away) i ask this because the past owner that had my si has a purple valve cover(in a blue car) so i was going to try to paint it black or blue. blue for a whole blue theme or black for a black engine bay with blue mixed in.
about the valve cover fit i have my old valve cover from my rsx which is silver so it might work for the paint job.
