Awesome News!!!!
So i got a call from the cops today regarding my ITR that was stolen over 2 years ago. The found a Civic that had my motor in it. vin plates on the motor and tranny were in tact so reading the vin was not a problem.
They didnt find the vehicle but i can have the engine back.
Just goes to show that sometimes good things do happen after being robbed of our valuables.
Sucks i dont have a vehicle to put this in, it will most likely be sold once i take the motor apart and look at the condition and mods done. Seems to be rebuilt.
Been out of the B-series thing for a while, so i dont know exactly how much these motors are worth now. Anyone have a general idea what i can get for it?

Damn that's nuts, after 2 years. Hope that little bitch is sitting in jail right now. Regarding the sale of your motor, it's pretty iffy considering the history of it, who knows how bad that thing was beat on.
Are you getting EVERYTHING back, have you talked to the cops personally yet? (i.e. ECU, axles, wire harness, ect...)
If not I'd call them up and request that you get all of that back, since he needs all of that for the swap into his Civic, explain it all to them. Know what I mean?

that's pretty impressive, really pleased for you
as others have said, ask for all the ancillaries back to get the motor running.
I really do hope the little bitch is rotting in jail right now crying and ratting out the thieves he bought the motor from

So what terrible 'karmic' thing did the OP do to have his entire car stolen?

I have been through it with the cops, i am getting everything. Motor, tranny, axles, ecu, harness.
The motor has been rebuilt, at least that is what it seems like. aftermarket cam seals. Sounds different from when i had it. some type of aftermarket intake manifold and exhaust manifold.
running different ECU, i read P73. Forgot which ECU that was, B16? ITR?
Dont know whats going to happen to this guy

I was thinking that as well. OP, you should probably touch base with your agent.

The cops that ive been dealing with were great. My first positive experience with cops. I have a new found respect for them.
Insurance didnt want to pay for my aftermarket equipment. I am trying to get some money back. They dicked me $7k. I left that insurance company after my experience with them. Cops are giving the motor to me. Thats all i know.

Interesting that you are getting the engine back and not the insurance company. A friend of mine locally had his ITR stolen, a year later cops found the engine in an EF. He was informed of this, and given names of the people arrested. But the engine went straight to his insurance company since he was already paid.
