Manual tranny fluid question 91GS
Is it possible to remove the fill bolt and add fluid from the top of the engine? the car is raised with two jack stands in the front in an incline postion which is not giving an accurate reading level from the fill bolt.
I'm thinking of buying two more jackstands for the back so I can get my car leveled.

why dont u take the fill bolt out when its on jack stands, drop the car back down to fill/put the bolt back on. yes it is possible to fill from the top. any flexible funnel long enough will work.

Yeah but when you put the bolt back on, do you bring up the car again won't some fluild will spill out?

im not sure about a 91, but on a 3rd gen, no it isnt. at least not reasonably.
what i do is jack up the right front, remove the wheel, drain, and fill bolts. level the car by lowering the jack, and then fill it up
now seeing as how its unwise to work with no jackstand, you can stack wood under the lift point to the level that will level the car, and lower it onto the wood, because i know how alot of jackstands only go so low, especially if your slammed.
