compliance bushing not complying (help, advice?)

Im trying to get a new compliance bushing on my acura integra installed, and it was a bitch of a time getting it off, is there a trick to getting this thing on?

having the same issue on my ej8.. i cant get the compliance bushing out... brute force isnt working
