Default Socal test area?? is there anywhere in the SGV area.. or anywhere!!

okay i'm tired of not having anywhere to test this POS out.. anyone know of a street or anywhere i can take the car and make some test passes to make sure this damn car is running right? In Socal..

drove 7 hours to sacramento (CMI) find that the car sputters and pops when i launch it in 1st and 2nd gear but clears up fine in 3rd and 4th. adusted but didn't have any more runs to determine the problem!!! it was fine on the dyno (3rd gear pulls)

thats the problem here there is nowhere to test.. And before anyone says test it at irwindale i have a side exit header. they require a muffler there. there is no way for me to put a muffler on my header. i just need a section of abandoned out in the middle of nowhere street to do a few test launches.. I kinda live in a heavily residential neighborhood. not really the best place to test out the car! especially since there are cops everywhere and you can hear my car for blocks..

just forget it i'll just test it on the street. there is nowhere else.

you can try barona drag strip. it's just outside san diego. although it's an 1/8th mile strip, it's better than taking it on the street. plus you can almost always run during one of the events, they usually have a test n' tune lane.

we went out there about 2 weeks ago and where the only import there, but the staff and racers were really nice. we got about 7 passes in. good luck!

yeah i know. its less than a half inch. so i can't put a flange, a vband maybe! and i stress maybe!! you know how close the header is. not really easy to put anything on it.

irwindale is closer to us as well but we don't want to run a muffler either, so we race down at barona. after we race, we usually go to the casino and gamble a little, grab some food and then head home.

that actually sounds pretty cool. maybe i will make a trip down there. Irwindale is literally less than 10 mins away!! but damn it sucks to run a muffler.

PSCA at California Speedway is also a great sanctioned body to run with. They treated us well there also.

Actually if you check the California Speedway race schedule, there are several test n tune events as well as PSCA events open this year.
