LS Dizzy VS. B16 Dizzy
Will an ls dizzy work on a b16a? i have one with the third leg cut off to clear vtec solenoid but i do not know if i will be able to time it... anyone who ihas done this or is running this please help!
it works if you can cut 2 of the mounting points on the distributor and make your own bracket. sounds like that's what you did. i used a hacksaw or dremel tool. mine is held in by 2 of the 3 bolts, one them being a homemade bracket, but the car runs great.
it can be timed correctly...i think i had to lengthen the top hole just a little with a file
i did this because i got one cheap from a friend, but it has been working for 2 years now

I did that too, I needed a new distributor fast and no one local had one. Mine has been perfect for two years, a bit of an eyesore though.
someone asked me why the timing was advanced so much...it's just how the ls distributor sits on the motor. offhand, it looks stock to most everyone. i've got other eye sores to fix tho
