Default Just a suggestion (non tech)

I think the F/S WTB thread should be updated. It's over a year and 10 days old and it's hard to figure out what's current or not. Is there some way we can get a new thread created every month (or this thread cleaned up each month) similar to how the Type R guys do it.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/2238623

I don't want to come off as a jackass or something, I'm only suggesting this idea only to improve our section. I would of pm someone rather than post a thread, but since I just became a regular on here I don't know who overlooks this section.

Times two......dump the whole thing every month to keep it current, that way every one who is serious with either buying or selling will stay up on it

I like this idea. A current EF thread would make it easier to exchange parts efficiently.

Good idea, like how the drag racing forum does. Here is something much simpler, but is beyond the reach of most users: I post once and then when I update my listing I delete my original post and repost the new information. That way I do not clutter it up with the same items 23 times on the same page, and I'm not post whoring in the process.

Yea, but the problem is the amount of pages our thread this.

Already mentioned this a while ago, everybody just keeps saying nobody uses it so it doesn't matter. What people don't get is that no one uses it because it sucks, and they dont want to switch it to a method that has proven to work on other forums very well. I think it is a great idea!

I guess this thread and the other one proves that people do look at it. Man I hate searching the F/S section and threads just because fail to keep their post up-to-date or the threads are so large that it's not even worth the trouble.

I want an updated monthly EF thread too.

I have the other in my watched topics, but rarely post or check it due to the chatting going on.

we need it to have a description and a link to the thread where the parts are. it'll be less cluttered and we dont need to filter out all of the crap pictures.

i'd say this format below would look best...

<FONT SIZE="5"> description of the part for sale and price: </FONT>

On the other boards I belong to, they have the 'FOR SALE' section as threads, not one giant thread. It makes it a lot easier to do business as it is just like responding to a thread.

I too vote for the new formatting talked about above^^. Joe's idea sounds like it would be the easiest, if im understand that it would be that way to keep from having a TON of pictures per page, and just a link to the photos and more info if interested by description and price.

As does HT in the marketplace.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SIred91 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Times two......dump the whole thing every month to keep it current, that way every one who is serious with either buying or selling will stay up on it</TD></TR></TABLE>

this is what happens in several of the other sections on HT, it seems to work well in the 06+ civic section. I'm all for a monthly thread for the EF guys

The monthly thread has a downside - if you post near the end of the month, not as much "air-time" as the folks who post up right at the beginning. I know this matters not since you can just repost at the beginning of the next month but it's just something that stood out to me.

Is possible to give someone the ability to just remove posts from the thread over a month old, not a mod because they have betters things to do like e- but just one user who is in charge of that thread? That way it also stops people from posting the same crap each page for that one month.

It wouldn't be too hard just to post it again. Consider pre-time for the next month

in the 06+ forum rather than deleting the previous months thread it just gets un-stickied and dies on it's on. It makes it pretty easy to cut and paste you ad from the previous month.

I wouldn't want it unstickied as that would allow a massive WTB/FS thread to perculate in the main forum, which in my book = bad.

when it's april and the "march fs/wtb" thread is unstickied nobody posts to it again because it's out of date.. they then have the stickied "april fs/wtb" thread to post in.

FS/WTB thread xxxx had YYYY, I better post to see if he still has it" Just outright delete the last month and be done with it.
