Closest non-oval/strait race track to Tucson Arizona
Please help!
I need to try driving fast legally. Where can I drive closest to Tucson AZ
My car should pass tech inspect for NASA road racing I just don't see myself driving up to Phoenix all the time. I need something closer I could drive to a few times a week.
Please help I am going through withdrawals since law enforcement started cracking down

Chad, I've never heard of a track down there, but that does make me wonder.
OP: Check out azbrscca.org. They run auto-x at SIR about once a month. I race Honda Challenge, so I make the drive up to Phx about once a month for the NASA events. Unfortunately, there's really not much available to us here. You can check out the P1 Kart Circuit down by SIR. It's a fun little track in the karts, but you can't drive your own car on it obviously. If you really want something local, I think auto-x will be your best bet.
The next NASA event is April 5th at Firebird East. It's really not a bad drive (only like 1hr15min) from Tucson and a fun track. They will be doing HPDE1 for new drivers, so you can sign up for that if you want to give it a try. All you really need to pass tech is a car with standard safety equipment (seatbelts, etc) and a helmet.

Bear in mind that open lapping days / hpde's are not usually held every day, no matter what track it is.

your thinking of mount lemmon, I've already learned my lesson.. and 10 runs will run through a set of hawk brake pads so it maks no sense to me
