I know theres got to be some people that work at tire/alignment places and get them for cheap. ANyone wanna hook a brotha up?

Im mad cuz i lost an ebay auction for kumho SPTs by $2 becasue i wasnt there to bid Woulda cost me $215 for 4 brand new tires plus gas and tolls out to the Jersey Shore.

 

I recently bought some Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1. Potenza RE-01R performance for 80% of the cost.

I could care less about the best application for me. I am not tracking nor driving like a manic. All its for is some Daily Driving with a once a week(or 2 weeks), spirited driving. Im more worried about cost than the amount of grip bc chances are i wont even push whatever tires i get to the max.

They dont make 205's for 15 in rims . 195 only.

 

Id venture to say that it isnt exactly a "195" tire, its prob a tad wider. Not to mention its treadwear is the same as an azenis/rs2.

Get some all season tires. That'll really teach you car control.

treadwear ratings are for internal comparison only

i.e. you cant compare a falken 200 to a dunlop 200.

ive driven on my fair share of tires, i like falken, hankook and federal the most.

SPT treadwear 340, lol. There are tons of better tires for the monies. Especially at 90 bucks a pop on tire rack. You can find azenis/rs2's in the 80's on edge racing, although they seem to be out of stock.

And if you dont want something with that low of a treadwear there are still tires like the es100's that are a 280.

The one level below the Direzza Sport Z1 is the Direzza DZ101 and they have 205/50-15.

True. There aren't as many options if you're looking for an extreme summer tire in the size he needs.
