CEL 8, TDC? replacement? other fix?
each time I hit what I think is the redline (DX cluster has no RPM gauge). it sputters, and throws code 8.
I've done the timing belt, and it's perfectly at TDC, how do I check the TDC connector, if I can't check it, how do I go about this? is replacement of the distributor the only way to go?

I've also rebuild the whole head, new valve seals, had it machined, it's had the works done, all original stuff, and well cleaned.

You can check it in the FSM at http://media.honda.co.uk/car/o...2.pdf
it's for the DOHC but test procedure is still the same. I'm doing this tonight for the stupid 4-door I have that won't spark lol

Damn, it's an intermittent problem, how do I diagnose this?
the ECU doesn't report it till I attempt to redline, and the PDF file you sent me says that a test drive is needed... Doesn't really help me it seems.
