How do I open the air box to change my air filter on an 05 Civic? I'm afraid of damaging it, but it seems as though I need to pry it open with a butterknife.

Anyone have any pictures?

undo the 7 screws and lift up.

 

You're probably looking at the resonator box. You don't need to open that. The filter is in the box which sits to the rear of the engine. It has 7 screws in. Simply loosen the screws and pull up. I just recently installed a K&N filter in mine.
